Sapareva Banya is one of Bulgaria’s gems, located in the southwest, about an 1 hour’s drive from the capital Sofia.
The municipality offers untouched nature and is hence very popular among tourists.
Nationally, it is best-known for the healing qualities of mineral waters that spout at up to 103° Celsius, and the Rila lakes, seven natural mountain lakes.
Needless to say, there are various scenic views and hiking trails. It is also close to the Rila National Park, which is the largest in Bulgaria, and the Skakavitsa Reserve.
