We were pleased to take part in Accor Partner Days Europe & North Africa 2026 in Barcelona, bringing together Accor hotel and partners from across the region.
The event provided valuable insights into what will shape the hotels of tomorrow, many of which are already reflected in the vision behind Swissôtel Sapareva Banya.
The Future of Hospitality
Topics shaping the future of hospitality were at the heart of the discussions. Talks on AI highlighted how technology is influencing hotel operations and the guest experience. At the same time, sustainability remains a central focus for the industry. The challenge here is reducing environmental impact without compromising quality or comfort.
The conversations also explored loyalty and individual guest expectations. In an increasingly digital world, hotels have an important role in creating a retreat from technology.
Working in front of the PC every day has a negative impact on posture, eyes, metabolism and many more aspects of health. On top of that, people continue to stay always available even after work. Instant messengers and social media contribute to the stress and the sedentary lifestyle.
In other words, people need a space to disconnect, slow down and genuinely relax.
This gives hotels the mission and opportunity to offer experiences for people to step away from everyday life and recharge.
A Hotel Beyond Traditional Luxury
The hotel is being developed with a strong focus on spa and health, offering guests the opportunity to actively invest in their wellbeing.
While Swissôtel Sapareva Banya is a five-star hotel, our aim is to go beyond traditional luxury. We seek to combine the finest of medicine and spa treatments with a setting which exceeds any expectations of comfort and aesthetics.
The hotel’s unique location adds another dimension: Sapareva Banya is home to the hottest mineral springs in Europe and its spectacular geyser fountain. This exceptional natural resource is an integral part of the project. We plan to make direct use of the natural thermal waters and incorporate them into the hotel’s spa and wellness offering.
It is precisely this combination — a strong health and wellness concept embedded in luxury standards — that gives Swissôtel Sapareva Banya its distinctive character and positions the hotel strongly within the evolving future of hospitality.
Ideas Coming to Life in Our Project
We returned from Barcelona with concrete ideas and plans for our work — from new ways of using AI in hospitality to a deeper understanding of the trends and expectations shaping the modern hotel experience. These insights will help us further develop Swissôtel Sapareva Banya and ensure that we continue to create hospitality concepts that are contemporary and relevant.
We would like to thank the Accor team for the excellent organization and for creating such an engaging environment for meaningful exchange and partnership.
We look forward to taking these conversations forward, putting new ideas into practice and continuing to shape the future of hospitality through our projects and collaborations.
